Phillip W. Dyer is the senior trial counsel at Dyer Law Group PLLC, bringing over 26 years of litigation experience in employment law, complex commercial disputes, constitutional challenges, and appellate advocacy. Dyer earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Utah in 1984, where he was a member of the Utah Law Review. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Sociology, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. His strong academic foundation and years of litigation experience have made him a formidable advocate in employment and constitutional law cases.
Licensed in Utah since 1984, Dyer is admitted to practice before all Utah state courts, the Federal District Court of Utah, the 10th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals (1997), and the U.S. Supreme Court (2007). His practice includes employment disputes, personal injury litigation, First Amendment cases, wrongful death claims, business law, and civil/criminal appeals. He has argued precedent-setting cases that have shaped Utah’s legal landscape.
Dyer is actively involved in the legal community, serving as Secretary and Board of Governors Member for the Utah Association for Justice and participating in the First Amendment Lawyer Association and the Federal Bar Association. He is also a Barrister in the American Inns of Court and an adjunct instructor in Administrative Law at Salt Lake Community College.
