Peter J. Viteznik

Peter J. Viteznik is a trial attorney at Kilmer Voorhees & Laurick, P.C., whose practice focuses on construction, business, real estate law, and insurance coverage litigation. He represents developers, property owners, contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, and design professionals. His work includes construction defects, liens, payment disputes, delay claims, and insurance coverage issues. He has tried and arbitrated cases throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and California. His litigation background includes significant commercial and construction disputes.

Peter earned his B.S. from Oregon State University. He later received his J.D., cum laude, from Willamette University. His undergraduate and legal education provided the academic foundation for a career focused on construction, real estate, commercial disputes, insurance coverage, and trial advocacy.

Peter has prevailed in significant construction appeals before the Oregon Court of Appeals, the Oregon Supreme Court, and US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He previously served as a partner and shareholder in a Portland real estate and land use practice. He later joined his current practice as a partner and shareholder. His legislative work includes assisting with House Bill 2572 concerning contractor licensing fees and endorsements. He has contributed to Oregon State Bar materials addressing construction claims and frequently lectures on construction and real estate litigation.
