Terry C. Rogers

Terry C. Rogers is a partner at Kuhn Rogers PLC with more than 50 years of legal experience in Michigan. His practice centers on estate planning and business succession planning, taxation, probate, corporate law, and partnership law. He advises individuals, families, and businesses on planning, ownership, succession, and tax-related matters. His work reflects decades of experience addressing complex legal and financial issues for clients across Northern Michigan.

Terry attended Michigan Technological University before earning a B.S. from Michigan State University. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School. After several years in practice, he returned to Wayne State University Law School and earned an LL.M. in Taxation. His academic background supports his work in tax planning, estate matters, business succession, and related areas involving financial and organizational structures.

Terry began his career as a law clerk for the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He later served as City Attorney for Grand Blanc while maintaining a private practice in Flint. After moving to Northern Michigan, he became a partner in the firm known as Kuhn Rogers PLC. He is admitted in Michigan, the United States Tax Court, and federal district courts in Michigan.

Terry C. Rogers remains active in professional and community organizations connected with estate planning, taxation, healthcare, and charitable giving. His memberships include the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan. He has served with the Grand Traverse Area Estate Planning Council and the Grand Traverse Area Planned Giving Council. His community involvement has included leadership with Munson Healthcare and participation in the Grand Traverse Area Regional Community Foundation.
