Paul earned a B.A., Honors College of the Literature, Science & the Arts, from the University of Michigan. He later received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. His academic background built a strong foundation in legal analysis, advocacy, and disciplined preparation for complex litigation.

Paul has built a national reputation as a leading advocate for seriously injured people while concentrating his practice in Connecticut courts. He has secured significant verdicts and settlements for clients facing catastrophic harm. He has been repeatedly listed among the Top 10 Attorneys in Connecticut by Connecticut Super Lawyers* and is the only trial attorney with three verdicts or settlements inducted into the Connecticut Law Tribune’s Personal Injury Hall of Fame.

Paul served as President of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association during 2019-20, guiding the organization through the challenges of the COVID pandemic. He worked closely with the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connecticut legislature, and the Connecticut Judicial Branch to address urgent court system issues. He is an elected member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and has been appointed to committees studying legal protections for Connecticut citizens.
