He handles contract and investment disputes, government investigations, trust, probate, business law, environmental litigation, shareholder conflicts, fiduciary matters, SEC enforcement, and regulatory proceedings. Paul earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Lewis & Clark Law School. He earned his M.S. from Ohio State University and his B.A., cum laude, from Tufts University. He is admitted in Oregon and Washington, the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the US District Court for the District of Oregon, and the US District Court for the Eastern District of Washington in federal proceedings and appeals.

Paul has secured major results in business, environmental, investment, and contract disputes. He prevailed in a federal trial concerning ownership of $9 million in agricultural products and won a multi-million-dollar jury verdict involving an investment fund. He has also defended a utility in a $500 million class action, handled shareholder and fiduciary disputes, represented governmental entities, and litigated complex matters involving development fees, property rights, and environmental cleanup nationwide.

Paul Conable was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2024. Chambers USA has recognized him for general commercial litigation, while Best Lawyers has honored him for commercial, environmental, and securities litigation. He was named 2026 Portland Lawyer of the Year for environmental litigation and has also received Oregon Super Lawyers recognition.
