Paul Byrd has spent more than three decades representing individuals injured due to unsafe products, faulty vehicles, and corporate negligence. His legal career is defined by his dedication to civil litigation, focusing on complex cases that demand experience, persistence, and a strong voice for consumer rights.
Paul earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1985. He began his legal journey as a clerk for the Honorable Tom F. Digby before moving into private practice in 1988. These early experiences helped shape his commitment to standing up for injured victims and holding corporations accountable.
Paul has handled major litigation involving tire failures and vehicle safety in multiple states, including Arkansas, Texas, California, Florida, and more. His role in the Brownlee/Whitaker vs. Cooper Tire and Rubber Company case earned national attention with features in the Wall Street Journal and Dateline NBC. His work has also been covered by USA Today and the Chicago Sun-Times.
Paul has also represented farmers in legal actions over genetically modified crop contamination, dealing with matters that reached far beyond state lines. His commitment to advocacy in agricultural and product liability cases has led to meaningful outcomes for many affected individuals and communities.
Paul served as President of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, where he inspired legal professionals to drive change through their work. He currently sits on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice. His contributions have been honored with the Roxanne Wilson Advocacy Award in 2010 and the Outstanding Trial Lawyer of the Year Award in 2012.
Paul Byrd continues to lead with integrity and purpose, using his knowledge and legal skill to protect the rights of those who need strong representation in the courtroom. Paul was appointed Special Justice to the Arkansas Supreme Court and has presided as a Special Judge in numerous Circuit Court trials. He holds an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubble, has earned recognition from Mid-South Super Lawyers, and is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
