Patrick L. Maurer is a Virginia attorney and partner at Garriott Maurer, PLLC. His practice focuses on family law, criminal law, entertainment law, and civil litigation. He represents clients in matters involving divorce, property settlement agreements, child custody, child and spousal support, premarital agreements, protective orders, domestic matters, and criminal charges. Patrick earned a B.S. in Public Administration from George Mason University. He received his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where he earned a certificate in Criminal Law. During his undergraduate studies, he participated in a foreign exchange program with the University of Oxford and completed additional studies in history and law.
Patrick began his legal career as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Danville, Virginia, and later served as a Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Virginia Beach. His litigation experience includes handling criminal matters before entering private practice. He represents clients in family law disputes and advises musicians, artists, authors, labels, publishers, and others in the entertainment industry.
Patrick L. Maurer is admitted to practice in Virginia and the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers. He is a member of the Virginia Beach Bar Association, Virginia Bar Association, Virginia State Bar, and I’Anson-Hoffman American Inn of Court.
