About
Orlando Velazquez has been a trusted advocate for individuals and families for over 27 years, focusing on bankruptcy law, real estate, and estate planning. He began his legal career at a large consumer bankruptcy firm, where he handled thousands of cases, helping clients eliminate or restructure their debt. After five years, he co-founded a law firm with a like-minded attorney, expanding his practice to real estate transactions and estate planning to better serve his clients’ financial and legal needs.
Orlando earned his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law in 1992 after completing his B.A. at Loyola University Chicago in 1989. His deep understanding of financial hardship and legal complexities allows him to guide clients through bankruptcy filings, real estate transactions, and estate planning confidently and clearly. Recognizing that many of his clients have never worked with an attorney before, he strives to ease their stress and simplify the legal process, making it as painless and worry-free as possible.
In 2018, Orlando founded Velazquez Consumer Law, LLC with a clear mission: to provide every client with personalized, responsive legal representation. He is especially dedicated to his real estate clients, prioritizing prompt communication, strict deadline management, and seamless, stress-free transactions. Known for his compassionate guidance and results-driven legal strategies, Orlando has earned a strong reputation in the real estate and consumer law community.
Orlando Velazquez has been a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute since 2009, staying current on legal trends to best serve his clients. Whether assisting individuals through financial struggles, guiding real estate transactions, or helping families secure their legacies, he remains dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for those he represents.
