Olga Kobzar

Olga Kobzar is a skilled energy lawyer at Scott Douglass & McConnico LLP, focusing on oil and gas litigation, complex commercial disputes, and regulatory matters before the Texas Railroad Commission. She represents operators, landowners, disposal providers, and energy companies in hearings, appeals, and litigation in state and federal courts. Her experience covers various industry issues, from regulatory compliance to high-stakes contract disputes.

Olga earned her law degree with honors from the University of Texas School of Law. During law school, she was the Managing Editor of the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law and interned for Justice James Campbell of the Seventh Court of Appeals of Texas. She also holds an MBA from Texas Tech University and a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in business administration, graduating summa cum laude.

Before joining her current firm, Olga served as a Briefing Attorney for Texas Supreme Court Justice Debra Lehrmann. She has handled contested hearings before the Texas Railroad Commission and represented clients in complex state and federal litigation, including oil and gas royalty disputes, class actions, and breach of contract cases. Olga has successfully argued before the Thirteenth Court of Appeals and has played a significant role in high-stakes appeals before the Texas Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Olga’s accomplishments include securing favorable settlements in oil and gas disputes, defeating class action certification in royalty litigation, and obtaining regulatory approvals for large-scale energy projects. She has also helped clients navigate environmental compliance and safety audits.
