About
Norberto Cardenas III has built an accomplished legal career defined by trial excellence, strategic advocacy, and client-centered representation. Licensed in Texas since 2005, he has handled complex cases across personal injury, immigration, and criminal defense, helping clients protect their rights in both state and federal courts through rigorous preparation and persuasive legal argumentation.
Norberto began his academic path at Texas A&M International University, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Finance, graduating cum laude in 2001. He later obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law in 2005, where he developed strong research and trial skills. His academic background and disciplined approach—honed through years of hard work—form the foundation of his distinguished legal practice.
Norberto started his professional journey as an Assistant District Attorney for Webb County, where he tried numerous misdemeanor and felony cases as first chair, achieving strong verdicts for the State of Texas. His notable appellate work included Lancon v. State (Tex. Crim. App. 2008), a published opinion by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. This experience provided him with valuable courtroom insight and a deep understanding of trial procedure and appellate review.
Norberto Cardenas III continues to stand out as a committed Texas lawyer who approaches each case with discipline, determination, and a passion for achieving justice for every client he serves. Norberto later transitioned into civil litigation, where he successfully represented clients in jury trials involving high-stakes disputes. His ability to navigate complex legal matters led him to establish his independent law practice in 2010. Since then, he has represented individuals and entities in personal injury, immigration, and criminal defense cases with exceptional dedication. His admission to the United States Southern District of Texas allows him to advocate for clients in significant federal matters, including actions against major governmental entities.
