Nicole Deese Newlon

Nicole Deese Newlon is a Partner at Johnson, Newlon & DeCort, P.A. whose practice focuses on commercial, real estate, business, civil, and complex litigation. She advises individuals and private and public corporate clients on contract, property, real estate, partnership, corporate, and general business lawsuits and disputes. Her work also includes unfair competition, trade secret theft, tortious interference, business torts, commercial fraud, negligent misrepresentation, shareholder disputes, deceptive trade practices, and civil theft claims.

Nicole earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law, graduating second in her class and completing a Certificate of Concentration in Advocacy. She also earned an M.B.A. and a B.A. in Finance from the University of South Florida. During law school, she participated in the Trial Team, Moot Court Board, and Stetson Law Review and was inducted into the National Order of Barristers as a student.

Nicole represents clients in arbitration and litigation, administrative investigations, proceedings before state and federal regulatory agencies and self-regulatory organizations, and matters in state, federal, and appellate courts. Her experience spans disputes involving businesses, property interests, corporate relationships, contracts, and allegations of commercial misconduct. She provides litigation support to private and public companies, individuals, corporations, and associated persons while developing strategies tailored to the procedural and substantive demands of each matter.

Nicole Deese Newlon is admitted to The Florida Bar, the US District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida, and the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She serves on The Florida Bar Civil Procedure Rules Committee and on the Board of the Federal Bar Association’s Federal Litigation Section, where she previously served as Chair. Her practice combines litigation, regulatory proceedings, arbitration, and appellate advocacy for clients.
