About
Nicole A. Prada-Trivino is a Litigation associate in Ballard Spahr LLP’s Anchorage office. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation and dispute resolution. Nicole’s background includes judicial and public defense experience involving criminal filings, post-conviction matters, administrative appeals, discovery, and motion practice. She brings that foundation to commercial lawsuits and disputes that require careful research, organized case development, and close attention to the procedural and evidentiary issues that can shape litigation strategy.
Nicole earned a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2024 and a B.A. from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2018. While attending law school, she completed legal internships with the Federal and State Public Defender’s Agency and worked as a courtroom judicial assistant for the Alaska Court System. Her education and practical training gave her early exposure to courtroom procedure, client representation, legal research, and the preparation of matters for judicial review.
Before joining Ballard Spahr LLP, Nicole clerked for Judge Catherine M. Easter, Deputy Presiding Judge in Anchorage, from 2024 to 2026. In that role, she handled felony criminal filings, post-conviction relief cases, and appeals from district court and administrative agencies. She reviewed discovery connected with motion practice and conducted legal research for matters before the court. This clerkship experience strengthened her understanding of litigation procedure and how courts evaluate records, arguments, and disputed legal issues.
Nicole A. Prada-Trivino is admitted in Alaska and is fluent in Spanish. Her practice combines recent judicial experience with a growing focus on commercial litigation and dispute resolution. By drawing on work in trial-court and appellate settings, Nicole approaches disputes with careful preparation and a practical understanding of court processes. She assists clients and litigation teams in evaluating claims, organizing evidence, researching legal questions, and advancing commercial matters through the stages of contested proceedings.
