About
Nicholas J. Pagnotta is a Montana civil litigation attorney who manages the Bozeman office. His practice focuses on complex disputes involving professional liability, product liability, construction defects, insurance coverage and litigation, trucking liability, personal injury, and wrongful death. He represents clients in matters that often involve significant financial exposure, technical evidence, and contested liability. His work spans trial and appellate advocacy in both state and federal courts.
Nicholas earned a B.S. from Montana State University and a J.D. from the University of Montana in 2003. During law school, he was a member of the National Moot Court Team and clerked at Williams Law Firm. Nicholas began practicing in San Diego after law school, concentrating on insurance litigation and real estate errors and omissions defense. He returned to Montana in 2007 and has since tried numerous cases in California and throughout Montana. His appellate experience includes appearing and arguing before the Montana Supreme Court and the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on behalf of parties and as amicus counsel. He is also admitted before the Tenth Circuit and several federal district courts.
Nicholas J. Pagnotta is admitted in Montana and California and before the US District Courts of Montana, Southern California, and North Dakota. He has served on the board of directors of the Montana Defense Trial Lawyers and as its president from 2017 to 2018.
