Nicholas Gottwald serves as an associate attorney at Nelson, Taylor & Associates PLLC, where he focuses on contract issues, estate planning, family law, divorce and custody disputes, criminal defense, and traffic violations. Gottwald earned his B.A. in Political Science from Brigham Young University, where he also gained experience as an intern with the Department of Homeland Security’s United States Citizenship and Immigration Services in Washington, D.C. Inspired by the role of law in shaping lives, he pursued his J.D. at the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law. He has since been admitted to practice in Utah State Courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

He began his career at the firm as a law clerk in 2011 and was admitted to practice in 2013.
