About

Nabeha Shaer is Class Action Counsel and Government and Public Policy Liaison at Ben Crump Law, where she directs the Washington, DC office. Her work includes banking discrimination, employment discrimination, reparation rights, wrongful death, class actions, mass torts, and international matters. She has represented clients in civil rights and public-interest disputes involving major institutions and government entities. Her practice connects complex litigation with broader issues of discrimination, human rights, and public policy.

Nabeha attended Florida State University College of Law, where she served as a teaching assistant for International Criminal Law, founded and led the Muslim Law Student Association, and received the Blaise N. Gamba Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award. She also developed experience in international criminal law and human rights law at Erasmus University School of Law. Her academic and pro bono work provided a foundation for litigation involving civil rights, international issues, and systemic discrimination.

Nabeha has worked on matters involving the Michael Brown family before a United Nations commission of inquiry, the investigation of racial profiling and systemic racism connected to George Floyd’s killing, and the wrongful death case brought by Malcolm X’s daughters against the US Government and other agencies. Her work also includes banking and employment discrimination class actions, reparations matters for the Henrietta Lacks family, and litigation involving Black farmers and other civil rights claims.

Nabeha Shaer is admitted in New York and before the Southern District of New York and the United States Court of Federal Claims. Earlier experience included work with the US Department of Justice Executive Office for Immigration Review on asylum matters and a legal internship with the International Bar Association in London. She has published on international criminal law and Palestinian child prisoners. Her practice combines class action litigation, civil rights advocacy, public policy work, and international-law experience.
