About

Michael Ramsey is a partner at Sheehan & Ramsey in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He represents individuals in bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, consumer rights, estate planning, and real estate matters. His practice includes Chapter 7, Chapter 11, Chapter 13, and Subchapter V cases, along with consumer litigation and related financial disputes. Ramsey helps clients understand their options, protect important assets, address creditor problems, and pursue practical solutions to difficult financial and legal concerns.

Ramsey earned his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2014 after receiving a Bachelor of Arts from Spring Hill College in 2011. During law school, he served on the law journal and trial advocacy board and graduated in the top quarter of his class. His academic training strengthened his legal research, writing, advocacy, and problem-solving skills, which support his work in bankruptcy proceedings, consumer disputes, estate planning, and real estate matters.

After law school, Ramsey joined Pat Sheehan and began handling bankruptcy cases and consumer litigation. He became a partner in 2020 when the firm became Sheehan & Ramsey. His experience includes guiding debtors through bankruptcy filings, responding to creditor issues, defending against foreclosure, and pursuing consumer rights claims. He also advises clients on wills, trusts, probate concerns, residential transactions, quiet title actions, and contract drafting, review, and negotiation.

Ramsey has served in the Air Force Reserve since 2007 and deployed in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. He also serves on the Local Rules Advisory Committee for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, where lawyers discuss proposed changes to local bankruptcy rules. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the Jackson County Bar Association, and the Mississippi Bar Young Lawyers Division. Michael Ramsey brings disciplined preparation, practical judgment, and client-focused service to each matter.
