Michael Ramsden

Michael Ramsden is a distinguished civil litigator with over four decades of courtroom experience, handling complex cases across Idaho and Washington. He has focused his legal career on defending clients in medical malpractice, product liability, business litigation, and personal injury matters. His appellate and trial work is respected throughout the region.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington in 1976, double majoring in Economics and Philosophy. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1978. His legal education laid a strong foundation for his extensive practice in civil litigation and professional liability defense.

Michael launched his legal career in 1979, when he was admitted to the Idaho State Bar, and he expanded his practice to Washington in 1986. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. This broad range of bar admissions allows him to represent clients effectively in both state and federal courts across the region.

Michael has successfully tried numerous cases involving property damage, contract disputes, tort claims, and errors and omissions. He is particularly noted for his work in professional malpractice defense and has been invited to speak widely on topics related to risk management and civil litigation strategies.

Michael is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and an active member of several legal organizations, including the Idaho State Bar, Washington State Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute. He has also been recognized by peers with honors such as the AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America.
