Michael P. Lynch is an experienced litigator and trial attorney licensed in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. His practice spans criminal defense, personal injury, business litigation, and related civil matters. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Providence College in 1983. He continued his legal studies at Gonzaga University School of Law before earning his Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, in 1986, establishing a strong academic foundation for his litigation practice. Admitted to practice in Rhode Island in 1986 and Massachusetts in 1988, he also appears before the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. His career includes work with firms representing clients across civil and criminal matters.
In criminal defense, Michael has represented clients charged with a wide range of offenses, helping them understand legal risks, protect their rights, and pursue effective resolutions. His personal injury work includes claims involving car accidents, medical malpractice, defective products, and other serious injury matters requiring careful preparation. His civil litigation experience includes representing and defending individuals, corporations, and businesses in disputes involving discrimination, breach of contract, and related claims. From 1990 through 1992, he also served as Probate Judge for the Town of Westerly, Rhode Island, adding judicial perspective to his legal practice.
