About

David M. Campbell is a seasoned litigation partner representing businesses, contractors, design professionals, insurers, and employers in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. With more than four decades of courtroom experience, he handles complex commercial disputes, construction claims, insurance defense, professional liability matters, employment issues, and appellate litigation with a strategic focus.

Mr. David earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School in 1985 and his Business Management degree from Providence College in 1982. His admissions include Rhode Island and Massachusetts courts, federal district courts in both states, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. His construction law practice includes contract disputes, bid protests, delay claims, defect claims, public and private project litigation, arbitration, and risk management counseling. He works with clients in the construction industry to address project challenges, reduce exposure, and resolve disputes through negotiation, litigation, arbitration, or practical dispute-avoidance strategies.

Throughout his career, Mr. David has argued matters before the Rhode Island Supreme Court, Massachusetts Appeals Court, and First Circuit Court of Appeals. His trial and appellate work reflects extensive experience with complex legal issues, detailed factual records, and advocacy for clients facing high-stakes business, construction, insurance, and employment disputes. He also serves as General Counsel to the Utility Contractors Association of Rhode Island and Associated Builders and Contractors of Rhode Island. His professional involvement includes construction industry organizations, bar associations, advocacy groups, and educational programs where he contributes legal insight on construction law, business risks, and dispute resolution.

Clients rely on David M. Campbell for practical guidance in litigation, regulatory matters, contract disputes, and claims related to business operations. He helps organizations understand legal risks, protect contractual rights, pursue efficient resolutions, and prepare strong courtroom strategies when disputes cannot be resolved through counseling, negotiation, or alternative dispute resolution. He brings a broad professional background to clients who need experienced representation in construction, corporate, employment, insurance, and litigation matters. His work helps businesses, contractors, insurers, and employers manage complex disputes, protect their interests, and move forward with informed legal strategies tailored to their goals.
