Michael Kelly is a Texas corporate and litigation attorney at Jackson, Landrith & Kulesz with more than three decades of legal experience. His practice covers complex transactions, commercial and business litigation, mergers and acquisitions, structured finance, real estate litigation, contract lawsuits and disputes, construction matters, probate and estate litigation, HOA and condominium disputes, insurance litigation, and family law. He has tried more than 100 jury and non-jury cases in state and federal courts, bringing extensive courtroom experience to high-stakes business, property, financial, and personal complex legal disputes.
Michael earned his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma School of Law and his B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Oklahoma. During law school, he received the George J. Fagin Municipal Law Endowment. His finance background supports his work on transactions, corporate governance, real estate matters, and structured finance. He is licensed to practice in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Pennsylvania, giving him a multistate foundation for complex commercial, transactional, and litigation matters involving clients and business interests across jurisdictions.
Michael previously served as in-house counsel for Gvest Capital LLC and Manufactured Housing Properties, Inc., where he oversaw transactions and joint ventures valued at more than $100 million. He also founded and operated his own law practice for more than 20 years, representing clients in commercial disputes, corporate governance, and transactional matters across multiple states. This combination of in-house, private-practice, and litigation experience gives him practical insight into business operations, deal structure, risk management, and dispute resolution from multiple perspectives.
Michael Kelly is also a former US Marine Corps Sergeant, bringing a disciplined and detail-oriented approach to legal representation. His current work includes real estate, contract, commercial, construction, probate, HOA, insurance, and family law litigation, as well as business transactions and related advisory matters. He draws on decades of courtroom and transactional experience to evaluate risk, develop practical strategies, and guide clients through negotiations, trials, and complex legal decisions involving business operations, property rights, financial interests, and family concerns effectively.
