Michael J. Rutcosky is a seasoned litigation attorney with more than 20 years of experience representing clients in criminal, family, and education law matters. He provides practical guidance and strong advocacy while helping clients address complex legal issues with clarity and careful attention.

Michael earned his J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in Valparaiso, IN, in May 2001. He also holds a B.A. in Political Science from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL, completed in 1998. His education prepared him for a legal career focused on litigation.

Michael began his legal career at a busy criminal defense firm in Cook County after graduating from law school. In that role, he represented clients in state and federal courts across Illinois, building significant courtroom experience early in his practice.

Michael has defended clients charged with serious criminal offenses as well as individuals facing traffic related matters before the Illinois Secretary of State.
