Michael J. Messaglia

Michael J. Messaglia is a business lawyer and managing partner at Krieg DeVault LLP, advises financial institutions and businesses on corporate, transactional, securities, regulatory, and tax matters. He handles mergers and acquisitions involving public and private companies and counsels clients on joint ventures and general corporate issues. He also advises financial institutions on regulatory enforcement, bank examination concerns, corporate governance, and securities compliance. His experience includes issuer representation in public offerings and strategic guidance for complex financial institution and corporate transactions.

Michael earned his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School and his B.A. in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame. He was admitted to practice in Indiana in 1993. His accounting background supports his work on financial, tax, securities, and corporate matters. He also holds a Legal Lean Sigma® White Belt certification, which complements his structured approach to advising clients on sophisticated transactions and complex regulatory concerns.
