Christopher W. Bloomer is a partner at Krieg DeVault LLP and represents clients in business law, banking, commercial, construction, municipal, and complex litigation matters. He concentrates on construction disputes involving project delays, mechanic’s liens, Miller Act claims, and related resolution proceedings. He also advises owners, contractors, lenders, and other project participants before construction begins. His counsel focuses on defining objectives, reducing legal risk, and addressing potential disputes before they interfere with projects or business relationships across Indiana business sectors.
Christopher earned his J.D., cum laude, from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2017. He earned his B.A. in Political Science, with Distinction, from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in 2014 and he was in Dean’s List. He served as a legal extern to Indiana Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush. His law school activities included Indiana Law Review, moot court, the Dean’s Tutorial Society, and recognition through the Order of the Barristers for advocacy.
Christopher counsels political subdivisions, public agencies, elected officials, department heads, and employees on Indiana public access and governmental matters. He advises clients on public bidding, purchasing, public works, annexation, eminent domain, unsafe buildings, tort claims, code enforcement, and interlocal agreements. His litigation experience also includes mechanic’s lien disputes, landlord-tenant matters, insurance coverage cases, secured lender issues, mediation, discovery, and settlement negotiations for commercial and governmental clients across Indiana and beyond.
Christopher W. Bloomer brings business experience to his legal practice, including nearly seven years advising government and commercial technology customers. He was admitted to practice in Indiana and the state’s federal district courts in 2017. He has been recognized by Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Stars from 2022 through 2026.
