Michael G. Miller is a seasoned civil trial attorney with decades of courtroom experience, having successfully tried more than 70 jury cases across diverse areas such as business, real estate, employment, civil rights, personal injury, and professional malpractice. His practice also extends to advising and representing both homeowners and homeowner associations on complex legal issues.
Michael earned his academic foundation at Chabot College and the College of San Mateo before earning his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Empire College School of Law, where he ranked first in his original class of 1988. He is a proud member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and holds memberships in multiple esteemed organizations, including the Sonoma County Bar Association, Redwood Empire Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Inns of Court.
Michael began his professional journey serving for nearly ten years as a police officer on the San Francisco Peninsula, gaining invaluable insight into investigative procedures and public service. While attending Empire College School of Law at night, he established a legal research business that supported more than thirty attorneys. Since 1988, he has practiced law in Sonoma County, building a distinguished career marked by integrity, dedication, and outstanding results for his clients.
Michael’s professional excellence has been acknowledged with the AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rating, a mark of the highest level of professional skill and ethical standards in the legal community. His published appellate decisions in Vahle v. Barwick and Morrison v. Vineyard Creek demonstrate his influential contributions to California jurisprudence.
Michael G. Miller has also dedicated significant time to community service. He volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for at-risk youth, served as a pro bono attorney for domestic violence programs, and mentored through Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Sonoma County. His volunteer efforts as a Judge Pro Tem and support for the Redwood Empire Food Bank reflect his deep commitment to justice, equality, and community betterment.
