Michael E. Saucier is an experienced trial lawyer who has represented clients in federal, state, and county courts throughout his career. He joined Libby O’Brien Kingsley and Champion, LLC after serving in public law offices and building a strong litigation background. His work includes more than 100 jury trials and many appeals. Clients rely on his knowledge, preparation, and courtroom skill when facing complex civil rights law, employment, and liability disputes. He has helped individuals, businesses, municipalities, and organizations defend important legal matters successfully.
Michael earned an A.B. cum laude from Boston College and later received his J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law. These academic achievements provided a strong foundation in legal analysis, writing, and advocacy. His education supported a career focused on litigation, appeals, and public service. He developed the research and communication skills needed to address difficult legal questions and guide clients through challenging proceedings with clear advice and practical solutions for varied legal matters and disputes.
Michael began his career in public service, working in the Maine Attorney General’s Office and the York County District Attorney’s Office before entering private practice. He has handled civil rights, employment, municipal liability, property, product liability, and professional liability matters. His experience also includes discrimination, harassment, retaliation, environmental, and health care cases. Through careful case preparation and strong advocacy, he has helped clients respond to claims, protect their interests, and navigate legal challenges with confidence and success.
Michael E. Saucier is also known for leadership within the legal community. He served on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court’s Advisory Committee on the Rules of Evidence and contributed to important legal publications.
