Michael B. Duffy is an attorney who focuses on white-collar defense and investigations, environmental law and toxic torts, and commercial litigation. Michael earned a B.A., History, cum laude, from Florida State University in 2003, followed by a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois at Chicago Law School in 2008. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa as an undergraduate and was named a Dean Fred Herzog Scholar in law school. His education strengthened the research, analysis, and written advocacy skills that support his courtroom and investigative work.
Michael served as a Deputy Attorney General in Alabama from 2011 to 2018. He later served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa and a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Nebraska from 2018 to 2022. He prosecuted public officials at senior levels of state government. He has also tried numerous bench and jury cases to verdict and argued before state and federal appellate courts. His experience covers grand jury subpoenas, public corruption, federal offenses and sentencing, healthcare fraud, bank fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, and Consumer Protection Act investigations.
