About

Megan M. Adeyemo is a highly accomplished attorney and partner whose practice centers on bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors’ rights, and complex business transactions. As co-chair of her firm’s national Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights practice group, Megan represents many clients, including debtors, trustees, creditor committees, and secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 proceedings across the country.

Megan earned her J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law in 2005 and her B.A. in Political Science, with an emphasis in Government and Policy, from the University of Pittsburgh in 2002. She completed an externship with former Chief Judge Sidney B during law school. Brooks of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado.

Megan has extensive experience in agriculture, manufacturing, finance, and real estate. Her work includes negotiating debtor-in-possession financing, managing asset sales and transfers—including intellectual property—and representing clients in foreclosure and receivership actions in Colorado state courts.

Megan is a licensed attorney in Colorado and Texas and represents clients before multiple federal district courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. She is an active leader in the insolvency and bankruptcy community, serving as co-chair of the Mountain-Desert Network of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and previously co-chairing the Colorado Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Sub-Section.

Megan has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America® for Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights from 2023 to 2025. She received the Kathryn R. Heidt Memorial Award from the ABA’s Business Law Section and has been named a Rising Star in the field by Law & Politics and Law Week Colorado. She is also Executive Editor of Bankruptcy & Finance for Business Law Today (ABA).
