Ahren A. Tiller

Ahren A. Tiller is a highly accomplished and nationally recognized bankruptcy attorney focusing on consumer and business bankruptcy law. He has dedicated his entire legal career to bankruptcy and consumer protection litigation, making him one of the most experienced attorneys in the field.

Ahren earned his J.D. from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California. In 2006, he was awarded the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Medal for his academic excellence.

Ahren is one of only four attorneys in California to be triple-certified as a Bankruptcy Law Specialist, Consumer Bankruptcy Law Specialist, and Business Bankruptcy Law Specialist. He holds certifications from the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization and the American Board of Certification. Notably, he is the youngest attorney in the state to achieve all three certifications in bankruptcy law.

Over the course of his career, Ahren has been the attorney of record in more than 8,000 bankruptcy cases across all four California federal districts: Southern, Central, Eastern, and Northern. He has also handled over 50 adversary proceedings and has successfully litigated trials with verdicts exceeding $1 million. His appellate work includes oral arguments before the California Courts of Appeal and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Ahren is actively involved in professional organizations. He is a board member of the California Bankruptcy Forum and previously served as President of the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum in 2017. He also participates in committees shaping local bankruptcy rules, including the Chapter 13 Rights and Responsibilities Committee in the Southern District of California.
