About
Megan Galicia is the Managing Partner at Martinez Immigration Law LLC, where she represents clients in family-based immigration, removal defense, and humanitarian petitions. Known for her compassionate approach, she is committed to providing culturally informed and client-centered legal advocacy.
Megan earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law in 2016. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Philosophy, and Spanish from Rockhurst University. She is admitted to practice law in Missouri and is fluent in Spanish.
Before law school, Megan taught in Texas and Mexico and later interned at the Kansas City Immigration Court. She joined Martinez Immigration Law in 2017 and has since dedicated her practice to helping immigrants secure legal status, remain united with their families, and find protection through humanitarian relief.
Megan’s leadership and community impact have earned her the Super Lawyers® Missouri & Kansas Rising Star recognition for multiple years. She received the AILA Presidential Commendation in 2019 and has served on several national and regional AILA committees, including as Chair-Elect of the Missouri-Kansas Chapter.
Megan volunteers regularly at the South Texas Family Residential Center and helped co-found a Kansas City initiative that trains attorneys to represent detained immigrants in bond proceedings. Her deep empathy and cultural sensitivity empower clients and promote fairness in immigration proceedings.
