Megan Galicia

Megan Galicia is the Managing Partner at Martinez Immigration Law LLC, where she represents clients in family-based immigration, removal defense, and humanitarian petitions. Known for her compassionate approach, she is committed to providing culturally informed and client-centered legal advocacy.

Megan earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law in 2016. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Philosophy, and Spanish from Rockhurst University. She is admitted to practice law in Missouri and is fluent in Spanish.

Before law school, Megan taught in both Texas and Mexico and later gained hands-on experience at the Kansas City Immigration Court. Since joining Martinez Immigration Law in 2017, she has focused her immigration practice on helping clients obtain legal status, keep their families together, and access humanitarian protections such as asylum and other forms of relief.

Megan’s leadership and community impact have earned her the Super Lawyers® Missouri & Kansas Rising Star recognition for multiple years. She received the AILA Presidential Commendation in 2019 and has served on several national and regional AILA committees, including as Chair-Elect of the Missouri-Kansas Chapter.

Megan volunteers regularly at the South Texas Family Residential Center and helped co-found a Kansas City initiative that trains attorneys to represent detained immigrants in bond proceedings. Her deep empathy and cultural sensitivity empower clients and promote fairness in immigration proceedings.
