About
Maxwell W. McCrite is a member of Lorch Naville Ward, LLC in New Albany and maintains a general legal practice. His practice includes civil litigation, personal injury, criminal matters, probate, estate planning, and landlord-related work. This range gives him experience with disputes and planning issues affecting individuals, property owners, families, and clients who need representation in both contested and noncontested legal matters.
McCrite earned an undergraduate degree in business finance and technology management from Indiana University and a law degree from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida. His business-focused undergraduate training and legal education support a practice that includes civil disputes, injury claims, probate, planning, and property-related matters. He was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 2014 and later developed a broad local practice in Southern Indiana.
McCrite previously served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Clark County’s 4th Judicial Circuit. Before his formal affiliation with Lorch Naville Ward, he completed a summer internship with Lorch & Naville and served as a clerk with the 52nd Judicial Circuit in Floyd County. Those positions gave him early courtroom and judicial-system experience before he expanded into civil litigation, personal injury, probate, planning, and other general-practice matters.
Maxwell W. McCrite is admitted to practice before the US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana and is a member of the Clark and Floyd County bar associations. His current practice combines civil litigation with criminal, probate, estate-planning, personal-injury, and landlord matters. That broad background allows him to assist clients whose legal needs cross traditional practice-area lines and require both courtroom experience and practical planning.
