Peter D. Palmer

Peter D. Palmer is a New Albany attorney and mediator who operates Pete Palmer Law LLC and concentrates his current practice on civil mediation. He mediates matters throughout Indiana and Kentucky and offers in-person and online sessions. His legal experience spans medical malpractice, product liability, and general personal injury work from plaintiff and defense perspectives. His experience extends to commercial, construction, estate, insurance, employment, and real estate disputes.

Pete earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Muskingum College in 1992. He received a Juris Doctorate from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 1995. He later completed Mediation Skills Training at Northwestern University in 2014. His education and litigation background support a mediation practice centered on understanding disputed facts, legal positions, damages, and the practical pressures that shape settlement decisions.

Pete formed Pete Palmer Law LLC in 2016 to focus formally on mediation of civil matters across the Kentuckiana region. His mediation practice began in 2013, and the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals reports thousands of completed mediations. His case experience covers appellate matters, business disputes, construction, employment, insurance, medical malpractice, nursing homes, personal injury, probate, professional liability, real estate, trusts and estates, and wrongful death.

Peter D. Palmer is admitted to practice in Indiana and Kentucky and is a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals’ Indiana Chapter for mediation.
