Mawuli Mel Davis

Mawuli Mel Davis is the founding partner of Davis Bozeman Johnson Law P.C. and a nationally recognized civil rights attorney based in Atlanta, Georgia. For nearly three decades, he has dedicated his legal career to protecting constitutional rights and advancing justice for marginalized communities. His practice focuses on civil rights litigation, human rights advocacy, and the defense of individuals facing abuses of power. Throughout his career, he has represented activists, protest organizers, and community members involved in major social justice movements, including Occupy, Moral Monday, and Black Lives Matter. His work has helped hold institutions accountable and amplify the voices of those often excluded from the legal system.

Davis completed his legal education at Georgia State University College of Law, earning his J.D. He also holds an M.P.A. from Bowie State University, where he developed advanced training in public administration and policy. Earlier, he graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a B.A. in Political Science and served as a commissioned Naval Officer.
