Matthew S. Kriezelman is an experienced immigration attorney known for representing clients in complex matters before the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, Immigration Courts, and Federal District Courts. He has gained recognition for his consistent advocacy across multiple jurisdictions, handling cases involving delayed decisions, denied petitions, and appeals.

Matthew began his academic journey at the University of Maryland – College Park, where he earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Government and Politics. He later completed his Juris Doctor from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago–Kent College of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Journal of International and Comparative Law.

Matthew has extensive experience with litigation under the Administrative Procedures Act, helping clients receive final decisions in prolonged immigration matters. His strategic filings often compel timely responses from the Department of Homeland Security.

Matthew’s leadership is evident in his role as co-chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Pro Bono clinic in partnership with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. His commitment to public service has earned him multiple honors, including the Distinguished Service Award and recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2014 to 2018, and again in 2019–2020.

Matthew continues to share his knowledge through speaking engagements and addressing immigration law topics such as the consequences of criminal activity, temporary protected status, and removal procedures. He also contributes to legal publications, including authoring chapters for The Removal Book and publishing articles in professional journals.
