Matthew P. Donelson

Matthew P. Donelson is a seasoned attorney and partner at Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP with more than two decades of legal experience. He focuses his practice on defending clients in premises liability, product liability, professional liability, employment law, and other complex litigation matters. Throughout his career, he has represented Fortune 500 companies in state and federal courts, helping businesses manage legal risks and resolve disputes effectively. His work includes trials, mediations, arbitrations, and legal counseling designed to protect clients’ interests and support sound business decisions.

Matthew earned his J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in 1999 and his B.A. from Drew University in 1996. His academic background provided a strong foundation in legal analysis, advocacy, and problem-solving. These qualifications continue to support his work in handling complex legal matters and advising clients on a wide range of business and employment issues.

Matthew began his legal career as an Assistant Prosecutor in Salem County, New Jersey, before entering private practice. This role allowed him to gain valuable courtroom experience early in his career. He later transitioned to private practice, where he represented major corporations in high-stakes litigation. Over the years, he has successfully handled numerous jury and bench trials and has built a reputation for delivering practical legal solutions. In addition to litigation, he advises employers on workplace compliance, risk management strategies, employment policies, internal investigations, employee handbooks, employment agreements, and non-compete provisions.
