Matthew J. Wurstner

Matthew J. Wurstner is a respected attorney and Partner whose practice centers on estate planning, probate and trust litigation, corporate law, and real estate. Matthew graduated magna cum laude from the University of Nebraska Omaha with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Criminal Justice. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Creighton University School of Law, where he ranked fourth in his class. During law school, he received seven CALI awards for academic excellence, and his article on copyright law was published in the Creighton Law Review, Vol. 51.

Throughout his legal career, Matthew has been recognized for his leadership and analytical depth. He played a principal role in the adoption of Nebraska Lawyer’s Advisory Committee Opinion 23-01, shaping ethical standards for attorney email confidentiality.

In addition, Matthew has shared his knowledge as an adjunct professor at Creighton University School of Law, teaching Trusts and Estates and mentoring aspiring lawyers. His expertise also extends to continuing education presentations, including discussions on AI in legal practice, billing ethics, and tax-deferral strategies for farmland sales.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Matthew demonstrates a strong dedication to public service. He actively volunteers with the Volunteer Lawyers Project Free Legal Answers Program and the Douglas County Tenant Assistance Project, ensuring that underrepresented clients receive the legal help they need.
