Matthew H. Springmeyer

Matthew began his academic path at the University of Utah, earning a Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Literacy Studies in 2010. He then pursued a Juris Doctor at California Western School of Law in San Diego, graduating magna cum laude in 2013. During law school, he was consistently recognized on the Dean’s Honor List and received Pro Bono and Public Service honors.

During law school, Matthew built a strong record of leadership and service. He served as Co‑Chair of the Community Outreach Committee and as Executive Notes and Comments Editor for the California Western International Law Journal. He also contributed to the California Western Law Review and was deeply involved in service‑based programs dedicated to supporting underserved communities.

Matthew‘s legal experience includes work with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Narcotics Enforcement Section, the Legal Aid Society of San Diego, and the San Diego County Public Defender’s Multiple Conflicts Office. He also served as a federal judicial extern for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Ruben B. Brooks in the Southern District of California.

Matthew is admitted to practice in all California state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. Whether handling complex criminal matters or guiding clients through immigration proceedings, he brings deep knowledge and personal commitment to every case.
