Geddes D. Anderson, Jr.

Geddes D. Anderson, Jr. is an accomplished trial and appellate attorney with a long-standing record in complex civil litigation. His areas of focus include business disputes, fiduciary conflicts, product liability, personal injury, and government investigations. He has handled over sixty trials and hundreds of arbitrations before both state and federal courts.

Geddes earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with honors from the University of Florida. He later received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida College of Law. During law school, he served as a Teaching Assistant in appellate advocacy and was active in student leadership, earning membership in the Florida Blue Key Honor Fraternity.

Geddes launched his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney, building hands-on trial experience in both violent crime and white-collar financial cases. He later moved into civil litigation, focusing on securities law, commercial contract disputes, professional liability defense, and employment law matters. Today, he represents clients in complex litigation in state and federal courts and before key regulatory agencies, including FINRA and the SEC.

Geddes is Board-Certified in Business Litigation by the Florida Bar, a distinction awarded for significant courtroom experience and peer-reviewed excellence. He holds an “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has received repeated recognition from Florida Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America, including multiple “Lawyer of the Year” awards in securities and product liability litigation.

In addition to legal practice, Geddes D. Anderson, Jr., contributes to the profession through leadership and teaching. He served as President of the Jacksonville Bar Association and has been involved with the Trial Lawyers Section of The Florida Bar, including as Chair. He also participates in continuing legal education and serves as a faculty member for advanced trial advocacy programs.
