About
Matthew G. Gunn is an experienced litigator who represents clients in employment disputes, catastrophic injury and death cases, medical malpractice matters, appeals, and complex civil litigation. A native of Idaho, Mr. Gunn has built his career serving individuals and businesses throughout the Treasure Valley and beyond, leveraging both his extensive litigation skills and a deep commitment to client advocacy.
Mr. Gunn earned his Juris Doctorate from Columbia Law School in New York City in 2008, where he also served as an editor for the American Review of International Arbitration. He graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Arkansas in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. His outstanding academic and athletic achievements earned him the Walter Byers Scholarship, the NCAA’s highest academic honor. After law school, Mr. Gunn gained invaluable experience clerking for two federal judges: Judge Justin Quackenbush of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington and Judge Stephen Trott of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
In private practice, Mr. Gunn has worked alongside some of Idaho’s most respected litigators at Rossman Law Group, Holland & Hart, and Brassey, Crawford, and Howell. He is licensed to practice in the state courts of Idaho, Washington, and New York, as well as in multiple federal district courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Recognized for his excellence, he has been named a Super Lawyer from 2021 through 2024.
