David Lichtenstein is Of Counsel at Livelihood Law, bringing over four decades of legal experience in civil litigation and employment law. His practice covers a range of workplace issues, including wage disputes, severance agreements, wrongful termination, FMLA violations, discrimination, and whistleblower retaliation. Known for his strategic approach and client advocacy, he confidently and carefully guides individuals through negotiations, administrative proceedings, and courtroom trials.
Mr. Lichtenstein earned his B.A. from Yale University before receiving his J.D. from the University of Colorado. After practicing with several prominent firms in the Denver area, he launched his practice in 1997. In June 2023, he joined Livelihood Law, enhancing the firm’s capacity to deliver client-focused legal solutions across multiple employment law matters.
Mr. Lichtenstein’s broad expertise includes representing clients in wage and hour claims, employment contract disputes, family and medical leave cases, and workplace harassment claims. His multi-disciplinary perspective ensures that every case is approached with thorough legal analysis, whether pursued through settlement, administrative hearings, or trial.
Mr. Lichtenstein is a former officer and board member of the Colorado Plaintiffs Employment Lawyers Association and continues to serve on its legislative committee. He is also active in the National Employment Lawyers Association and the Faculty of Federal Advocates, where he co-chairs the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Committee. These roles underscore his dedication to advancing legal standards and equitable treatment in the workplace.
In addition to his legal work, David Lichtenstein serves as Secretary and performing member of the Littleton Symphony Orchestra, reflecting his lifelong commitment to community service and the arts. His ability to balance legal rigor with empathetic advocacy makes him a valued resource for clients seeking justice and resolution in employment law disputes.
