Matt Weissing

Matt Weissing is Of Counsel at Edwards Henderson and a Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney with more than 30 years of legal experience. His practice focuses on personal injury law, wrongful death, and consumer protection matters. He represents clients in claims involving motor vehicle accidents, construction and premises accidents, dog bites and animal injuries, boating and cruise accidents, and negligent security. His experience also includes motorcycle, automobile, boating, scuba diving, and helicopter crashes, along with matters involving toxic chemical exposure, misfilled prescriptions, sexual abuse, insurance disputes, excessive force, false arrest, and schemes to defraud.

Matt completed his undergraduate education at the University of Florida and earned his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Law School. Before completing his education, he served in the US Marine Corps. He is admitted to practice before the US District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, including the Trial Bar of both courts. He has also appeared and argued before Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal, the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Florida Supreme Court.

His work in negligent security includes civil actions arising from shootings and failures to provide adequate protection.
