About

Matt Iwama has built a career shaped by experience, resilience, and practical problem-solving. Emigrating from Japan in 1981, he was drawn to the values and opportunities he believed life in the USA could offer. After choosing to make America his permanent home in 1984, he began building a future grounded in hard work, independence, and long-term commitment. This foundation continues to guide his professional focus forward confidently.

Matt pursued his legal education at Concord Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor. His studies focused on building a strong foundation in law while allowing flexibility to draw from real-world experience. This academic training supported his practical approach to legal problem-solving and strengthened his ability to guide clients through complex financial and legal challenges with clarity and confidence.

Matt founded a small construction company in 1984 and steadily expanded his work. By 1986, he was developing land and building homes, remaining active until selling his final project in 2007. His background as a builder, developer, real estate broker, and former mortgage broker gives him a firsthand understanding of transactions, financing pressures, and market cycles that directly affect clients across residential and investment-driven property environments nationwide, shaped by demand.

Matt shifted his professional focus as economic conditions changed. During downturns, he saw builders, investors, and homeowners struggle under financial pressure. This led him to help individuals and business owners consider bankruptcy as a lawful way to reset or reorganize debt. He has assisted clients through successful Chapter 11 cases and continues to support structured financial recovery plans rooted in clarity, discipline, and informed decision-making during uncertain times ahead.

Matt Iwama values personal connection in his work and approaches every case with care. As a law practitioner, he takes time to understand each client’s situation and goals. Matt believes people often need hope to move forward. Helping clients regain direction, rebuild stability, and create a clear vision for the future remains the most rewarding part of his career through trust, empathy, and steady guidance during difficult life transitions.
