Matt Chicklo

Matt Chicklo is an experienced family law attorney who has dedicated his career to helping clients across Alaska navigate difficult personal and legal challenges. With over a decade of practice, he focuses on divorce, custody, and other family law matters, guiding clients with a balance of advocacy and compassion. His approach is centered on achieving the best possible outcome while ensuring clients feel supported throughout the process.

Matt earned his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of San Diego, where he also served as President of the Political Science Honor Society. He then earned his J.D. at the University of San Diego School of Law. After graduating, he returned to Alaska to begin his career in family law, combining his education with a deep commitment to serving the community where he grew up.

From the beginning of his legal career, Matt knew family law was his calling. He has represented clients in a wide range of cases and has earned a reputation for putting his clients’ best interests first. In addition to his private practice, Matt served as head of the Early Resolution Program for the Alaska Court System, a court-sponsored mediation program for family law cases. This role gave him extensive training in mediation and valuable insight into both sides of the Alaska court process.

Matt Chicklo continues to provide experienced counsel in family law cases, using his skills in litigation and mediation to guide clients through complex issues.
