About

Attorney Martha Burke is a Milwaukee-based labor and employment lawyer representing workers in employment discrimination, wage and hour disputes, and workers’ compensation claims. She joined Hawks Quindel in 2022 and advocates for fair treatment in the workplace through litigation, negotiation, and client-focused legal representation.

Martha earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2022. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in French Language and Literature and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, making her a proud double Badger. During law school, she received the Leon Feingold Memorial Award for pro bono court interpreting work.

Martha’s dedication to public service began even before law school, when she served as a victim rights advocate with Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS) in Madison. In that role, she supported survivors of domestic violence, helped them navigate complex legal systems, and staffed 24/7 crisis hotlines. She later continued her public service at the Wisconsin Department of Justice, where she supervised legal associates handling civil litigation matters.

While in law school, Martha advanced employee rights through hands-on work at the Neighborhood Law Clinic and Legal Action of Wisconsin’s Farmworker Project. She contributed over 100 hours in court interpretation and legal aid to migrant laborers, reinforcing her dedication to accessible legal support for underserved populations.

Attorney Marhta is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to serve Milwaukee’s diverse communities effectively. She also speaks French and elementary Arabic. Her multilingual skills enhance her advocacy in complex labor and employment cases, making her a trusted ally to clients navigating discrimination and compensation claims.

Martha Burke continues to fight for employee rights with integrity, professionalism, and a strong sense of social responsibility. Her experience, education, and language skills allow her to offer nuanced and empathetic representation to workers throughout Wisconsin. She is committed to ensuring her clients’ voices are heard and their rights are fully protected.
