Marla Zide

Marla Zide is the Founding Partner of Zide Law Group, LLC, and a highly respected Maryland family law attorney. Since being admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2001, she has focused her practice on divorce, custody, visitation, child support, alimony, family support, and adoption matters. She represents parents, grandparents, and third parties in complex family disputes, guiding clients through emotionally challenging situations with clarity and steady advocacy.

Marla earned her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2001, concentrating on family law. While in law school, she served as a Student Attorney and Supervising Student Attorney in the Family Law Clinic. She also earned a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies from Goucher College in 1997. Her academic background supports her thoughtful, client-centered approach to family law cases.

Early in her career, Marla represented clients in Protective Order hearings at the YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. Over the years, she has built a practice serving clients across Maryland, primarily in Anne Arundel County and surrounding jurisdictions. She is known for her preparation, professionalism, and commitment to helping families reach fair and practical resolutions during difficult transitions.

Marla Zide has received consistent recognition for excellence in family law, including being named a Super Lawyer from 2013 through 2025 and among the Top 50 Women Attorneys in Maryland for multiple years. She has also been listed in the Top 100 Lawyers in Maryland and honored with the Rosalyn Bell Award. Active in numerous bar associations and leadership roles, she remains dedicated to advancing both her clients’ interests and the legal profession.
