Mark W. Sniderman

Mark W. Sniderman is an experienced litigator at Sniderman Law in Indianapolis, Indiana. He represents prisoners and detainees seeking appropriate medical care or challenging other conditions of confinement. His practice also includes civil rights claims involving voting rights, workplace discrimination, medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, and other serious harm. Mark helps clients present complex cases to judges and juries while protecting constitutional rights, pursuing accountability, and guiding injured or mistreated individuals through difficult litigation.

Mark earned his undergraduate degree in political science and philosophy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He began law school at U.C. Hastings College of the Law and later transferred to Indiana University School of Law–Indianapolis, where he received his J.D. His education provided a strong foundation in advocacy, legal analysis, and public rights litigation. This background supports his work in constitutional claims, medical care disputes, civil rights cases, and serious injury matters.

Mark has practiced law since 2006 and has handled reported cases involving civil rights, prison medical care, equal protection, and discrimination. His representative work includes Parker v. Franklin County Community School Corp., a Title IX case involving the scheduling of girls’ basketball games, and Lee v. Abbott, which was consolidated on appeal with Baskin v. Bogan. He also served as co-lead counsel in Stafford v. Carter, a class action involving Hepatitis C treatment for Indiana prisoners.

Mark W. Sniderman is a past chair of the executive committee of the Civil Rights Section of the American Association of Justice. He is also a member of the National Lawyers Guild, the National Police Accountability Project, and the Indianapolis Bar Association. He is admitted in Indiana, the Seventh Circuit, and several federal district courts. Through litigation, consultation, and collaboration with co-counsel, Mark provides focused advocacy for clients whose civil rights, health, safety, or dignity have been placed at risk.
