Mark L. Sisti

Mark L. Sisti has dedicated over 45 years to protecting the rights of individuals facing serious legal challenges. His career spans thousands of criminal cases, including high-profile trials and over 100 homicide defenses. With extensive courtroom experience, he consistently defends clients at all levels of the justice system, including appellate courts.

Mark earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York in 1976. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor in 1979 from the University of New Hampshire School of Law, formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center. His legal education set a strong foundation for his lifelong commitment to criminal defense.

Mark launched his legal career with the New Hampshire Public Defender, joining the Homicide Defense Project in 1982. From 1985 to 1988, he served as the organization’s Deputy Director, gaining extensive experience in high-stakes criminal defense. His leadership, trial advocacy, and consistent results quickly established him as a respected criminal defense lawyer in New Hampshire’s legal community.

Mark launched into private practice in 1988 and has since represented clients in every county in New Hampshire. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of New Hampshire and Vermont, as well as the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals. His defense work extends beyond state lines, including appearances in multiple U.S. states and Canadian provinces.

Mark is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been named to Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers in New Hampshire for more than a decade. His affiliations include the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Bar Association, and various state criminal defense associations.
