Mark L. Deniz

Mark L. Deniz is a founder and managing attorney who represents clients in San Diego County in criminal defense and DUI matters. Admitted to the California Bar in 2003, he has focused his legal career on criminal law. His practice includes defending people accused of misdemeanors, serious felonies, domestic violence, drug offenses, and other criminal charges. He develops proactive strategies aimed at protecting each client’s rights and future.

Deniz earned his J.D. from John F. Kennedy University School of Law in 2002 and a B.S. from Northern Arizona University in 1995. As an undergraduate, he received a football scholarship and earned Academic All-American honors. He later completed Harvard Law School’s Program of Instruction for Lawyers and trained at the U.S. Department of Justice National Advocacy Center. Before entering private defense practice, Deniz spent nearly a decade as a prosecutor. He served as a deputy district attorney in Tulare County from 2004 to 2009 and as a deputy city attorney in San Diego from 2009 to 2013.
