Mark Battleson

Mark Battleson has built a 28-year career combining law, business, and finance to guide clients through high-stakes disputes and complex deals. His experience spans litigation, investment banking, and asset management, where he has advised on projects exceeding $2.2 billion in value and defended cases with liabilities surpassing $100 million.

Mark earned his BA from the University of California – Santa Barbara, later completing his JD at Emory University School of Law while serving at the United States Attorney’s Office. He went on to clerk for the Chief Judge of the Georgia Court of Appeals, then expanded his career by obtaining an MBA from the University of Michigan – Ross School of Business.

Mark began his litigation work handling personal injury, workers’ compensation, and commercial disputes. He prosecuted and defended hundreds of depositions, won defense trials, and secured favorable settlements for individuals and businesses. Afterward, he transitioned into corporate and real estate law, closing tax-credit financings, structuring partnerships, and negotiating transactions in retail, office, multifamily, and hospitality sectors.

Mark further broadened his expertise through leadership roles in national investment and development firms. He managed financing strategies for multifamily housing, condominiums, and retail developments, and served as capital markets director for the nation’s largest multifamily developer, overseeing legal-heavy investment processes across the East Coast. His work also included negotiating complex debt and equity deals and managing large-scale real estate investments.

Mark Battleson continues to use his depth of litigation, corporate, and financial knowledge to protect client interests, resolve disputes, and guide businesses and individuals through challenging legal and business landscapes. He has provided counsel across multiple industries, including technology, manufacturing, and venture capital, while also serving as an expert witness on damages matters. In addition, he has represented both injured individuals and wage claimants, finding personal value in advocating for clients facing large companies or liable parties. His career reflects a rare blend of legal, financial, and operational insight applied to every client matter.
