Mark B. Martinez is the co-founder and principal attorney of Martinez Immigration Law PLLC, where he focuses exclusively on federal immigration matters for clients in and around Louisville, Kentucky. Mark earned his B.A. in English from Brigham Young University in 2000 and his J.D., with honors, from Notre Dame Law School in 2004. His legal career began with a judicial clerkship for the U.S. Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review, where he gained firsthand insight into the immigration court system. He then worked as a litigation associate for an international law firm on assignments in the U.S. and Mexico, expanding his understanding of cross-border legal issues.

Before founding his own firm, Mark served as an Assistant Chief Counsel and later Deputy Chief Counsel for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He then worked with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) as Associate Counsel. Through these roles, Mark developed in-depth knowledge of the laws and regulations governing deportation, detention, waivers of inadmissibility, criminal grounds of removal, adjustment of status, and applications for citizenship. He has argued complex cases before Immigration Judges and advised officers on difficult legal issues, making him a trusted advocate for clients facing high-stakes immigration matters.
