About
Mark B. D’Antoni has dedicated over three decades to real estate, energy, and corporate law, concentrating on transactions involving extensive land and mineral rights throughout the Appalachian Basin. His practice focuses on reviewing abstracts, drafting title opinions, and preparing the necessary documentation for large-scale property projects and commercial financing matters.
Mark began his academic journey by earning a B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina Coastal Carolina College in 1984, where he was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa. He went on to obtain his J.D. from the West Virginia University College of Law in 1987, contributing to The West Virginia Law Review during his studies. These accomplishments provided the foundation for his extensive career in real estate and energy law.
Mark has significant experience supporting national energy companies by acting as local counsel in multimillion-dollar loan transactions involving coal, oil, and gas acquisitions. His guidance has also extended to addressing key regulatory concerns, such as subsidence and compliance with SMCRA requirements. Beyond the energy sector, he has become a trusted resource in corporate real estate dealings, property acquisitions, and title opinions that cover thousands of acres.
Mark applies his real estate knowledge to education law as well, advising public K-12 institutions on property acquisition, leasing, and disposition. He helps school systems navigate complicated regulations to ensure compliance while allowing them to best serve their students and communities. His ability to merge technical property analysis with practical solutions has made him an essential advisor to a diverse range of clients.
Mark B. D’Antoni continues to provide seasoned counsel to businesses, energy developers, and educational institutions alike.
